Do you feel like you have been writing forever and making little progress toward publication? If so, we have words of encouragement from the mountains of Montana. Authors of the Flathead is a small group of writers helping writers and that is exactly what we are doing, helping each other. There are numerous critique groups, weekly meetings and monthly classes provided by writing/television guru, Dennis Foley. We are currently planning our annual October conference which will be held on the 6th and 7th, pushing ahead with dynamic speakers in a number of genres and a marketing/e-publication wizard, Roxanne McHenry. http://www.authorsoftheflathead.org
After years of frustration and many agent interactions without success, some of us decided to research e-publication of our manuscripts. The push into digital print is going well, very well. Currently, three authors who have published on Amazon Kindle in the past couple months (with Roxanne’s expertise) are #1 in their genres. This is very exciting for them, an income from their work, and they are exuding an electric enthusiasm stimulating others.
If you are interested in checking out their work and Roxanne’s go to Amazon Kindle Store and input: Kathy Dunnehoff, Debbie Epperson and Patrick C. Lee. I believe Debbie and Patrick’s books are available today for free download. I am drawing to a close on the final editing for “Eyes of a Pedophile” a true crime book based Nathanael Bar-Jonah. I have been working on it off and on for ten years–available on Kindle by Feb 1. It provides a window into the mind of a violent pedophile, providing common characteristics to watch for and cues to protect children.
